Manage the 52ha wine estate with five cottages and a 130ton cellar. Winemaker/Manager responsibilities: Co-ordination of all harvest activities with up to 55 seasonal workers, Deciding where and what grapes to harvest for own cellar and third party cellar, Fermentation, Barrel ageing and barrel selection Preparing of wine for bottling, Controlling all aspects of bottling and labelling, Co-ordinating all documentation in terms of Sawis, Wine online, IPW and exports, Interacting and tasting with public, Liaising with importers and other wine buyers, Stock control, Budget, Marketing, Negotiating and selling of bulk and bottled wine. Strategize with owner in regards with improvements, product development and changes for long term profit and cost savings Viticulture/Manager responsibilities: Daily running of the farm, Co-ordinating of the yearly vineyard activities, Management of staff, Management of irrigation and maintenance thereof, Management of disease spray and Weed control program, General maintenance of buildings, farm equipment etc.
